Here’s A…What D'ya Call It? That Came To Me One Day
It was almost as if I had seen this thing in one of those Magic Eight balls. You know- you ask a question and then you shake the ball and turn it over, and an answer appears as a phrase out of the murk that you have shaken and is now clearing. You ask a question and you shake the ball and turn it over and wait to see the answer. The answer just sort of…appears.
One afternoon, a phrase came to me in very much the same way. I wasn’t thinking of anything at all and I certainly wasn’t trying to write anything. I had been lying down, my eyes closed, about to take a nap, and then-just there- the following thought was in my head. I saw it clearly and I’ve never forgotten it.

I love this without any pretense at understanding it, and I feel an immense power from it, but I haven’t any idea what it means. It feels beautiful and intense to me. Although,
again, I have no idea from whence it came or what it means. But I love it and I feel calmed by it and also empowered by it.
